Hello, Wednesday! Chelsea here.
When you picture the Ohio Governor’s mansion, there’s a decent chance that you’re picturing the Tudor-inspired home nestled along the border of Bexley and Columbus. But that wasn’t the first house in town to hold the title of Governor’s Mansion. The OG mansion is still standing today on East Broad Street. It’s a gorgeous, Georgian-style manor, and it’s hard to believe that it was replaced just mere decades after the state of Ohio acquired it. Luckily, it’s been beautifully restored and preserved, which means we can check out this little slice of history for ourselves!
