Columbus' own interactive art installation worthy of Burning Man will open soon

Columbus Navigator Logo

Hello Wednesday. It's Chelsea.

Well, we've made it halfway through the week! Of course, Wednesdays are the perfect day for daydreaming, which is exactly what I'll be doing today, and I'll be dreaming about art.  Later this year, a new, immersive art installation is opening up on the city's east side. Otherworld is 25,000 square feet of pure imagination, and when it opens, you can bet that people will be clamoring to get in. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to get lost in this exhibit. 😍🎨

More patchy fog this morning until 10 a.m. After that, it's going to be sunny and hot, with a high of 86. ☀️😅

This weekend, a mash-up of two of my favorite things, tequila and festivals, will be taking over Woodlands Backyard. In addition to 50+ different kinds of tequila, there will also be a margarita bar, where you can vote on your favorite recipe.

Since it's still in the high 80s as we near the final stretch of September, it's as good a time as any to head underground. Ohio is full of beautiful cave systems and caverns, just waiting to be explored.

 Around Town 🏡

I'm no stranger to unique beer. My husband considers himself a bit of a beer aficionado, so my palate isn't exactly prone to shock. But I would be interested to see what it has to say about this beer from Maumee Bay Brewing Company called "Algae Bloom". It's murky and green, just like the state of the waterways that Ohioans depend on. [WOSU]The great scooter saga of 2018 continues. After laying out a slew of rules for new scooter sharing services around Columbus, an assistant director in the Department of Public Safety has said that the city will be "rather lenient" when it comes to doling out punishment. [Dispatch]Jason Bradley-Krauss, the husband of beloved Columbus meteorologist Chris Bradley, has posted an update to his Facebook page, asking for prayers for Chris and "nothing short of a miracle." [Facebook]
