A Bexley home with a John Hughes feel 🏑❀️

Columbus Navigator Logo

It's James - welcome to Wednesday.

I've been 80's obsessed lately, largely because of a completely amazing blog called

. Just look at

,

, and

. ❀️

I'm ready to toss aside everything and buy the 80's house of my dreams, even though I seriously doubt my wife would embrace the period quite as much ... although if I found a house like this one, then maybe?

This Bexley home is actually a mishmash of different time periods, and fairly updated overall, but certain details are definitely calling out to the retro enthusiast in me. It's rare I see a house where I like mostly everything, but this comes closer than most - see what you think.

Most of us have at least driven through Mansfield, particularly on visits to Cedar Point or Lake Erie, but it turns out there's quite a bit on offer. Only a couple of months remaining for

season, so check it out.

Maybe you don't need an excuse to visit all of these bars, or to dress up and express your inner Hufflepuff, but here's one anyway. πŸ§™β€β™€οΈ

Ohio has now officially blown past the deadline for medical marijuana implementation. Saturday, September 8th was the deadline. Progress continues to be made, but an actual start date is still unknown. [WOSU/Smyth] πŸ’ΈThe Pizzutis are donating their museum and collection to the Columbus Museum of Art as of January 1st, 2019. The North Park St. space is 18k sq feet and was valued at nearly $6 million in 2013. 40 works of art are also being donated, and the Pizzutis hope this will spur other Columbus collectors to make donations to CMOA. [Dispatch/Gordon] πŸ–ΌThe process to close down certain Columbus City Schools really got underway this week, with the first public hearing. Reaction from the community seems to be negative, but there would be benefits, one of which was on display in recent weeks - air conditioning in newer buildings, and the closure of older buildings lacking AC. [WOSU/Evans] πŸŽ“Scooters are now officially banned on the sidewalks of Columbus as the city continues working through the ins and outs of how to handle the emerging industry. [10TV] πŸ›‘

 Longread πŸ¦†

The story of a lone duck arriving to the island of Niue, a 3.5 hour flight from Auckland, New Zealand, is one of the best things I've read in awhile.

"The duck has since become something of a national celebrity – tourists visit to take pictures, locals drop by with food and volunteers top up the puddle that Trevor lives in.

Something to say? Hit reply - we read it all.
