Happy Wednesday! Chelsea here.

I only took a few years of French in high school, but I know enough to know that I'm extremely excited about this new restaurant. Grand Rue is shaping up to be quite the Francophiles dream. It really does look like it was grabbed off the streets of Paris and dropped into downtown Columbus, and I can't freaking wait for it to open.

I'm not sure if you've noticed, but it's cold out! That transition last week from 70s and sunshine to this rainy, cold situation we've found ourselves in was pretty harsh. But I know for a fact that any bad weather can be marginally improved if you've got a warm drink in your hand. Nothing says "cozy" quite like hot chocolate, so go ahead, treat yourselves. You deserve it!

Coronavirus Updates πŸ’Š

Hospitalizations are spiking

- 2,509 new cases, 198 new hospitalizations, 22 new deaths.

The governor's COVID-19 press conference

yesterday was notable:

  • Governor DeWine admitted that  "The idea we can herd immunity our way out of this has been discredited by everybody."

  • He also asked Ohioans to cancel events and reconsider hosting or attending gatherings of any size, a major request just days before Halloween (and Ohio State vs. Penn State.)

  • However, it sounds like another shutdown is not in the cards, with Lt. Gov Jon Husted saying "The spread isn't coming from businesses [...] It's coming from what people are doing in their own personal time."
