There’s one thing that happens in October that I wait patiently for every year: the reveal of Paras Pumpkin’s Celebrity Pumpkin. Over the years, artist Jeanette Paras has brought me, and millions of others, so much joy with her giant, themed pumpkin art. She’s gone viral year after year for her comedic depictions, and this year’s 611 lbs pumpkin is no exception. Plus, the whole thing is all in an effort to raise money for a wonderful cause.

🌳 Schiller Park is one of my favorite places in the whole city. The 23.45-acre park is the second oldest park in the city, after Goodale Park, and has hosted community festivals, fairs, and events for nearly two centuries.
