There's nothing official to talk about with the Presidential Election just yet (at least at the time of this writing, which is already way past my bedtime), with many states needing additional time to count mail-in and absentee ballots. But most of our results are final here in Ohio. Here's what went down in Franklin County yesterday.

Coronavirus update
: a huge new case record, with 4,229 new cases reported, 213 new hospitalizations, 33 new deaths. Almost 2,000 Ohioans are in the hospital right now with COVID-19, which is already a lagging indicator. It would be expected to get worse with the recent spike in cases. Trend graph

My favorite aspect of the Pumpkin story: There's an anonymous woman in Athens who serves as Pumpkin's benefactor. She privately pays for all of the cat's medical bills, including a few hundred bucks for dental surgery a few years back.
