🌳 This Incredible 250-Acre Park Used To Be A Glass-Making Factory

The Art Of Aminah Robinson

Sponsored by Columbus Museum of Art and their exhibit Raggin’ On: The Art of Aminah Robinson’s House and Journals, the first major exhibition of the artist’s work since her death and a celebration of Robinson’s work, vision and the home, and the Poindexter Village neighborhood she cherished. There's so much amazing art in this exhibit that it's difficult to sum up - go here for more info and take a visit. 🎨🎨

Happy Wednesday! Chelsea here.

Just when you think you know all of the cool, unique spots in Central Ohio, something else pops up and totally blows your mind. Ariel-Foundation Park is truly one-of-a-kind. The park used to be a factory but now it's been transformed into a wonderful green space, complete with a smoke stack-turned observation tower. The park has quiet lakes (former quarries) and public art and gorgeous sunset views.

 🍽

After nearly two decades, one of the most prominent Cameron Mitchell Restaurants won't be reopening.

 🚂

I am a fan of any project that takes a historic building and turns it into something beautiful instead of tearing it down. This historic train depot in Delaware is going to be well worth the drive once the transformation from abandoned train depot to restaurant/office space is complete.

🎨

I don't know what plans you have for the weekend, but they should definitely include a visit to CMA's Aminah Robinson exhibition. Robinson is one of our cities most celebrated artists and this is a unique chance to see a huge variety of her work all in one place.

But seriously, her art is amazing and you should go check it out.

⛅️ Here's what happens when one of our great local drone accounts turns around at the Scioto Mile and takes a photo in the other direction. I'm not going to go so far as to say it's as good as the downtown shots, but this is awfully nice - and so is this account. Yet another must-follow here in Columbus.
