There’s nothing quite like a relaxing train ride through the country. If we had passenger rail, I’d probably just ride around all day for fun. But since we don’t, I’ll have to settle for our incredible scenic railroads. And by settle, I mean have the time of life on a train ride through some of Ohio’s most beautiful areas. I’m trying really hard to resist using any train puns, so It’s probably best if I wrap this up and you start reading about these train-themed trips for yourself!

Known as Ohio’s Little Smokies, this park might not have a mountain range, but it does have some incredible views from the hilly terrain. Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Shawnee State Park is an absolute gem. When people see photos of the park, they often don’t realize it’s here in Ohio, and to be honest, I get it. It’s pretty magical!
