Here's How To Contact Your Elected Officials And Demand Action 🇺🇸

Art Pop

The ArtPop Street Gallery is back! ArtPop Cbus will shine the spotlight on our city’s talented artists by placing their work on available billboards and newsstands throughout Franklin County. Happy Wednesday. Chelsea here.

I wanted to start things off this morning by saying a big, gigantic thank you. This community is so amazing and with your help, we received an incredible, overwhelmingly awesome number of emails about black-owned businesses in Columbus. If you reached out, take this temporary thank you until you see a fresh reply from me in your inbox. Today's lead story is about how we can all advocate for a fairer Columbus by contacting our elected officials. We've rounded up contact info for the mayor, city council, the governor, senators, and representatives all in one place to make your advocacy a little bit easier. Bookmark this article on your phone and your days of needing to google contact info will be over.

Since this list doubled overnight, we thought we'd encourage you to take a look at it again. We will continue adding to the list as we receive submissions. Thank you again to everyone who reached out and shared their favorite businesses with us.

Talking Points ❤️

One More Time 🚨

Yesterday, we shared the story of

, and today we have a photo of the student journalists showing their IDs to police moments before the incident. I'm not going to moralize or grandstand here, because the picture speaks for itself in a jaw-dropping way.

Fight For Change 🏈

It's been awkward watching some brands and organizations clumsily address everything happening right now (someone even

) but I found this short video from Ohio State football to be genuinely moving.

Repeating History 🚨

I've said this before, but one thing I have found frustrating paying more attention to local politics in recent years is discovering that so many problems have been solved, either in the past, or elsewhere, and often those solutions are just ignored. You may be surprised to learn (I was!) that studies have been done on police aggression with regards to protesting and the results are clear.

Pretty much any very good dog in front of a sign like this is going to get a shout out here, so feel free to hit us up on the hashtag if you have more examples. 🐶
