Hello, Wednesday! Chelsea here.
The topic of public transportation comes up a lot in Columbus. As the city adjusts to growth, it’s become more and more evident that our current public transit isn’t going to cut it for much longer. There are rapid transit plans in the works, but it’s hard not to get wistful for “what could have been” when you find out that we almost had a monorail system. How different would the city be now if they’d actually gone through with it? It’s wild to see the renderings from this project because it almost looks like an alternate history of Columbus. P.S. We’ll be out for the holiday tomorrow, so we’ll see you back here Friday morning!
