We all know that there's no shortage of amazing burger joints in Columbus. Last month, a new restaurant got added to my burger to-do list. Bru Burger Bar is an Indianapolis-based restaurant and their first central Ohio spot opened recently in Westerville. From the stunning second floor patio to the wood accents and decor, Bru Burger is as beautiful as it is delicious. 🍔

Hot Chicken Takeover and FUSIAN will be collaborating on Hot FUSIAN Takeover sushi roll. Yum. 🍣🍗🔥National Veterans Memorial Names Samir Bitar DirectorThe National Veterans Memorial and Museum will open later this fall and they have officially named a new director, Army veteran Samir Bitar. 🇺🇸🗽

Around Town 🏘An OSU alum was a key figure in the recent rescue of 12 soccer players and coach from Thailand. Narongsak Osottanakorn was the rescue head and studied geodetic engineering and surveying at Ohio State in the 80's. [614 Now] ⚽️Columbus has a new tax abatement plan that will try to produce more affordable housing. Columbus' community reinvestment areas will be split into three tiers, and "tax breaks in neighborhoods from the highest tier will carry greater requirements for affordable housing." [WOSU/Evans] 🏡Columbus will be implementing a pilot gunshot detection program in three neighborhoods starting by the end of this year. The system they will be using is controversial, mostly because it seems to be expensive but doesn't often produce tangible results. [Dispatch/Rouan]
