10 incredible events that will make you brave January weather in Columbus πŸ˜Žβ˜ƒοΈ

Hello, 2019! It's Chelsea.

How are those New Year's resolutions going, people? I hope everyone had a great holiday. If you are a Buckeye fan, then I think it's safe to say your day ended on a high note! As we move into winter, it can be tempting to stay huddled up in a blanket binge-watching Netflix. But there is so much going on in Columbus, that it would truly be a shame to miss out. I put together some of the most interesting, popular, and downright unique events going on around the city for you. When I say unique, I mean a "whole craft show dedicated to cats" level unique. Spoiler alert: It's probably not what you're imagining. (Or maybe it is. Either way, totally worth checking out) 😻😎

The moment we've all been waiting for may finally be near, Columbus. Our very own Nina West is a rumored contestant on the upcoming season of RuPaul's Drag Race and we're laying out exactly why we think that rumor is most likely true. (She's totally Top 4 bound, right?)

Talking Points ❀️

We did it!

2018 was officially the wettest year in Columbus history. We received

of precipitation on the year and I'm not sure my backyard is ever going to recover. πŸŒ§β˜”οΈ

Warzone simulator 2018...

is a perfect example of what the gunfire in urban Columbus is like on New Year's Eve. Wild that this is just part of living in America. πŸ’₯

Central planning...

Columbus City Schools will almost certainly be taken over by the state unless a law passed in 2015 is overturned or found to be unconstitutional. The law, pushed by a Youngstown contingent led by Jim Tressel (!), mandates any district receiving a state report card grade of "F" be put under control of a state appointed CEO with broad powers. The story of how it was passed is outrageous but typical of Ohio state politics.
