Happy Wednesday! Chelsea here.

I can't believe February is almost over already! Truth be told, I'm not sad to see it go. I'm beyond ready for Spring. Everything feels fresh and new in spring, and I think we could all use a little bit more of that. Speaking of new, I know that a lot of you are recent transplants to Columbus. Or perhaps you know someone who just moved to town. There are a few ways you can help them get into the groove of life in Columbus. One, obviously they should subscribe to this newsletter! We love to keep you all up-to-date on the happenings around town. But another great way is to share this hilarious and thoughtful piece by Zoey. They'll find their new BFF in no time! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜Ž

I'm not ashamed to say that I love dogs more than I love some people. And although older generations tend to give us millennials crap for it, I'm all about places that bring happiness into the world. That's why I'm excited to take my dog to the grand opening of a new retreat and spa. She's gonna go nuts and honestly, I can't wait.

I'm a sucker for a good view, and this one can't be topped. Someone please buy this penthouse and then invite me over!

Talking Points ❀️

The newest member of city council, appointed, as usual,

. Dorans is an attorney who primarily works with organized labor. He has a nice resume - could have potentially even won a normal election, but we'll never know.

When CPD Thinks You're A Problem 🚨

Kudos to 10TV for looking into the behavior of Franklin County Sheriff's office. Columbus Police has voiced concerns with how the Sheriff's Office handles high-speed chases, and

, one from January that reached speeds of 108 MPH in a 45 MPH zone, and another in December that left two dead on James Road. This is wild behavior that deserves to be widely discussed. 10TV also

accusing the sheriff's office of changing their behavior due to appearances on "

", an A&E show that broadcasts Franklin County patrols as they happen.

An Ohio Legend 🌳

The first woman to walk the Appalachian Trail
