. Theodore Decker makes the case that our elected officials would still love to roll over for Amazon, citing past like the demolished freeway ramp and gifted land for Ohio Health, senior housing in the Short North being demolished for luxury condos, and the recent "tax credits for jobs" deal with three local developers that didn't lead to the number of jobs that were promised, but also didn't lead to the tax credits being reduced. And don't forget the original $2.6 billion offer to Amazon that was treated as a state secret.

A recent poll found that conservatives in Ohio

overwhelmingly want their electricity to come from renewable sources

. Conservative respondents view clean energy as a job creator, and 70% would like more than half of their energy to come from renewables, and they're even willing to pay more to make that happen.
