Happy Wednesday! Chelsea here.

We’re halfway through another week, and I honestly can’t believe that we’re nearly halfway through February.  On days like this, I like to stop and take a moment to daydream a little bit. And we all know there’s no better way to daydream than to take a look at a stunning dream home. When this home was built, William McKinley was in the White House, the Buckeyes went undefeated for the first time in history, and you could order 10 pounds of cheese from the Sears Catalogue for $1.61. Some things have changed a lot since then, but this beautiful house has managed to retain its original charm.

What happens when you combine cream cheese icing, my favorite root vegetables, and plenty of love? You get a delicious carrot cake. If you've been craving a slice, stop reading this right now and click. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Every now and then, I come across something in this wild and wonderful state that just makes me say, "Wow". This is one of those times. If I had to choose three words to describe the dome at Materials Park, I'd say unique, intricate, and jaw-dropping.

Talking Points ❤️

Shiny And New 🚅

I found this to be an interesting look at Hyperloop dreams, through the filter of Cleveland, a city that is also under consideration for a station. Particularly this part

"...the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority has an annual budget of $300 million. Over the next five years, they are hoping for an additional $600 million for capital investments, things like maintaining facilities and equipment. RTA provides over 50 million rides per year, which is 10x what the hyperloop is optimistically projected to provide. They do this with an annual budget that is 1% of the hyperloop construction."

What A Tangled Web We Weave 💸

The story of Nationwide Realty Investors, the debt they hold for Nationwide Arena, and the new Columbus Crew stadium is very tangled and ends with NRI collecting over $116 million in a convoluted deal to retire Nationwide Arena debt that was supposed to be paid off via casino revenue. This is very good investigative journalism by WOSU and Nick Evans - reward them with a click.

Pizza Night 🍕

There's so much good pizza in Columbus (witness just days ago when

) that you could spend months eating at a new place every week without repeating or hitting a bad spot. If you started a project like that (and you probably should) the spot at the link below should be one of the places you hit up first. Check out this trip report and the photos and I think you'll agree.

The river looks awfully nice here, is this Columbus' best angle? 📸
