Columbus has a new police chief, and just like every other time they have hired a new police chief they've promoted from within, this time selecting the current interim chief Tom Quinlan. How you feel about this will probably be influenced by how you feel about the job Columbus police have done in recent years. Mayor Ginther called the hire (reminder here that Quinlan is the current interim chief and has worked for CPD for 30 years) a "change agent". Alright then.
