You'll soon be able to fly direct from CMH to Seattle ✈️🌧

Columbus Navigator Logo

Wednesday's coming in hot with big CMH news:

Flying to the west coast from Columbus almost always involves a connection (or two), but CMH is gradually easing that pain. This morning they are set to announce direct flights to Seattle via Alaska Airlines.

Everyone's thoughts on hearing this will probably quickly turn to Amazon and HQ2, but Seattle is a pretty dreamy direct flight destination even apart from any implications there (and let's be real, this probably doesn't have anything to do with that). A weekend checking out the Space Needle, Pike Place, and Mt. Rainier sounds like a must do in 2019 once this is live.

I'm so excited for this addition to our team. Experiences and events have always been a part of the plan for Columbus Navigator and this is the final piece of the puzzle. Leanne comes to us from Columbus Underground where she was responsible for many successful events, including genius ideas like Columbus Coffee Fest. Keep watching this space for future event announcements - Leanne is an idea machine and I can't wait to let you in on some of the amazing things she's planning.

I honestly had no idea so much from the early 1800's is still standing. Many of these would make for great photo opps and definitely deserve to be more known locally.

The Ringer thinks Mikey's Late Night Slice offers some of the best pizza in America. It's an interesting article with a concept that isn't as simple as "best pizza in the country" (Tostino's Pizza Rolls make an appearance) but it's great to see Mikey's get some love.

There's a section of the Olentangy Trail in Clintonville that's a complete pain to navigate, and singlehandedly keeps the trail from being complete, but a fix may be on the way. The city of Columbus has a plan to finish connecting the trail by building two bridges, and the hope is that MidOhio Regional Planning Commission would provide a grant to cover 80% of the cost.

The former speaker of the Ohio House is now under investigation for bribery, extortion, and Travel Act violations. Republican Cliff Rosenberger took multiple trips overseas with payday lending lobbyists during a time payday lending regulation stalled. The list of trips Rosenberger took is wild and includes Hawaii, Israel, Iceland and Italy.
