Welcome to a beautiful Wednesday. It's James.

I've been excited to see how BrewDog's craft beer hotel would turn out since the announcement, and now it's here.

I sincerely and thoroughly enjoy BrewDog's ambition. They loudly declare that they think central Ohio is great, they go full throttle at all times, and there's no midwestern practicality or caution on display. They announced a new hotel that sounded outlandish, and then they quickly built it. We need more of that energy, all over Columbus. ❤️

Coming September 8th, this event looks like it'll be gorgeous, and a great photo opp.

This house has one of my favorite outdoor spaces ever, but really I might be more psyched for the sauna? The January-February version of me would be all over that.

Some interesting restaurant visits today: first we have the Guild House, the Cameron Mitchell restaurant at Le Meridien, The Joseph.

And then a Mexican place on Henderson Road called Cuco's that I have never personally tried, but is now firmly on my to do list.

And finally, the 614orty-Niner takes a look at a place I sometimes think Columbus takes for granted in favor of the new and shiny: Buckeye Donuts. I was on campus last weekend (

) and this blog has it right, Buckeye Donuts is one of the last "vintage" OSU spots still holding on.
