First of all, thank you to all who let me know the Buckeyes don't start playing until

next

weekend. Nothing like getting something Buckeyes football-related wrong in an email to 15,000 Columbusites. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Now that my shame is residing, let's move on to Wednesday. I'm not sure if any of you have happy hour plans yet, but I've got a suggestion. I got to check out Fireproof yesterday, and let me tell you, it was worth the hype. The restaurant itself is modern and elegant and the vibe is simultaneously cosmopolitan and super inviting. I can't wait to hear what you guys think about it.

There's a new plant shop in town folks. Yelo Aple is a charming shop where you can satisfy your green thumb. This weekend, they're hosting a plant swap where plant lovers can meet up and trade tips and greenery. This place is good vibes all the way.

I can't even with these views, folks. I always think I could never go back to apartment life, but I'm pretty sure I could make an exception for this penthouse with its breathtaking views.

Talking Points โค๏ธ

American Factory ๐ŸŽฅ

Back in 2018, Barack and Michelle Obama signed a deal with Netflix to produce series and movies for the streaming network. I bring this up now because the first documentary under their deal releases on Netflix today, and it's centered on Ohio.

American Factory

tells the story of a closed GM plant in Dayton, Ohio that transitions into a Chinese-owned glass factory called Fuyao. Chinese workers are moved to work in rural Ohio alongside blue-collar Ohioans, many of whom previously worked at the GM plant which closed in 2008. You can

and

that calls the documentary "outstanding".

Everything's Changing ๐Ÿ’ธ๐ŸŽ“

Two Ohio State items that caught my eye, one this article on luxury student housing that's about Austin, but could just as easily have been written about Ohio State, from Bloomberg:

And then there's this in depth article from the Indy Star:, with cuts in state and federal funding for higher education, state schools are turning to out of state students to make up the difference, meaning

. Ohio State has

.

Fair Point Though ๐Ÿˆ

(and quickly deleted).

We're #1? โ˜ ๏ธ

With everything going on in the world, perhaps it will comfort you to know that at least Columbus is a cheap place to die. (Really) (
