Around Town ๐Many rural areas in Ohio are struggling economically, and an underrated reason is a lack of broadband. It is shocking how close to Columbus you can be and not have reliable access to high speed internet. This isn't just a hardship for locals. It also makes it difficult to create jobs. A state rep. from Bellaire is putting forth a bill that would subsidize a rural build out of high speed internet. It would offer $100 million in incentives to encourage companies to service rural areas in Ohio. [Urban Meyer/Twitter]Ohio has a huge dental shortage, especially in low income and rural communities. Two state senators want to legalize dental therapists to work in the state to help cut into this shortage. They would work under a dentist but would be able to perform 35 procedures independently.
