We've officially made it to my favorite month of the entire year! I love September for a lot of reasons, not just because it's my birth month. Shout out to all the other 9/11 babies. Even though fall is still technically a few weeks away, I wanted to mention all of the great fall festivals around town sooner, rather than later. It's never too early to start making plans, people.

The Fruits Of Consolidation And Out Of Town Ownership 💸

Columbus Dispatch subscribers are suing the Dispatch and GateHouse Media for putting "unsolicited" "premium" (this story requires lots of air quotes) inserts into people's newspapers. These inserts included things like a dog magazine and a calendar with premium prices of $9.00(!) per insert. The company clearly tried to hide the cost by reducing the length of subscriptions instead of separately billing for the "premium edition". More at the link.
