I'm a sucker for a beautiful porch, and this house has so many magazine-worthy terraces that I don't even know where to begin. Plus, the views of the Olentangy River are stunning.

I know it seems way too early to be talking about Christmas, but these holiday trains are so much fun and they tend to sell out very, very quickly, so it's probably best to start making plans now. All aboard!
Talking Points β€οΈ
The Decision πΊπΈ
It can be difficult not to be fatalistic about Columbus politics for a multitude of reasons, among them the capture of local politics by real estate developers, Columbus City Council seats all being at-large vs. representing wards, the way nearly all City Council start out by appointment instead of an election win, and so on.
If recent history is anything to go on, we'll see all incumbents victorious, but Yes We Can has done an admirable job turning the conversation towards tax abatement, and just how generous the current council has been with them. Council Member Rob Dorans (running in his first election today after being appointed in March)
by saying "Weβre competing against cities like Nashville and Chicago and Austin, Texas..." which is a weird thing to say, at least when talking about condos in the Short North.
Please vote today, and give some consideration to the non-incumbents.

Downtown Drones πΈ
I'm loving all the drone photography of our beautiful city on Instagram lately. Check out this
video from Phantom Photos run by Colin Peterman and give him a follow
. You'll also want to check out and follow
. He's publishing stunning drone shots all over the city, on a nearly daily basis. Both of these accounts are giving me new perspectives on so many areas.
The Yinzers Love Us β€οΈ
A Pittsburgh Post-Gazette writer recently visited Columbus, and wrote this glowing review of the time he spent here:
(Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)
