There’s never a bad time of year to visit one of the city’s most iconic institutions. Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Park has been connecting Columbus residents with nature since the 1850s. It’s become a space that’s beloved by many and over the years, it has seen its fair share of excitement. (Does anyone else remember Ameriflora?) But though Franklin Park Conservatory is approaching 200 years old, it’s still got plenty to draw in visitors. In fact, I think you could argue that the conservatory has never been better! Here’s what to do when you’re there exploring for yourself!

🌷 500,000 Tulips Will Be On Display At Central Ohio’s Most Colorful Spring Adventure
Sweeping views of fields of colorful flowers await at Timbuk Farms Tulip Festival. The festival, which kicks off in April offers jaw-dropping views of half a million tulips, all blooming in various shades. I just can’t get over how beautiful those neat little rows of flowers are!

🏢 Inside The $47M Plan To Create Affordable Housing At Opportunity Pointe
Genuine affordable housing is on the horizon thanks to a collaboration between Columbus State Community College and Woda Cooper. The 160-unit building will have 20 units exclusively for CSCC and the building will offer such affordable prices that I’m sort of in disbelief. This is a major win for CSCC student housing and affordable housing downtown, in general.
