Columbus' Most Iconic Restaurant: The Kahiki Supper Club 🌴

Ever come to tears or belly laughed during a performance, left an exhibition feeling thoughtful, calmed your anxiety by reading a poem? Now is the time to say thank you. Donate to the Emergency Relief Fund for Franklin County Artists

Hello, Tuesday! Chelsea here.

I thought we'd kick today off with a conversation about arguably the most iconic restaurant in Columbus history: the Kahiki Supper Club. This tiki restaurant opened back in 1961 and served as the most unique place to grab a bite to eat in this city for nearly 40 years. It was a hot spot for visiting celebrities and for families alike. If you've never heard of Kahiki, ask anyone who's lived in Columbus for a while and they probably have a story to tell about their experience at Kahiki.

Last week we talked about grocery delivery options, but today I wanted to bring up some alternatives you may have forgotten about. If traditional grocery stores are stressing you out, don't hesitate to take advantage of the variety of options we have here in Columbus to stock up.

I don't have kids, but I can only imagine the mad scramble parents are going through right now to get kids adjusted to this new way of life. If you're on the hunt for some incredible science-based activities for the kiddos, please check this out. COSI is stepping up with an awesome array of at-home learning opportunities that are completely free to all.

Look For The Helpers ❤️

#CantStopCbus is a recently launched effort from the local tech community, among others, to help solve problems related to coronavirus. So far, they've created

(you might remember us linking that in a recent newsletter) and are they are also working to help assist Mid Ohio Foodbank with technological solutions. It sounds a little like a #SaveTheCrew effort only aimed at helping Columbus overall in a difficult time. Hopefully, this will blossom into more good action given the hard times that look to be ahead.
