Rideshare Driving In A Time Of Pandemic 🚘

Hello, Tuesday! Chelsea here.

I've had a lot of weird St. Patrick's Day experiences, but I have a feeling that this is going to be one I'll never forget. There is so much going on right now, with so much information flying at us from all directions, that it's easy to forget that this is happening to all of us collectively. This morning, we wanted to share someone's story with you. We're all getting through this situation day by day, but our individual experience are as varied as ever. Kevin Williams, a Columbus rideshare driver and writer shares what it's like to drive for Uber and Lyft during this global pandemic.

It's pretty weird how a 24 hour period lasts a full week now. Anyway, here's our daily round-up to get you up to speed in less than a minute.

If there were ever a time to use the phrase "hot mess" it's now. The decision of whether or not to hold Ohio's Primary Election today went back and forth yesterday, making it all the way to Ohio's Supreme Court. Here's exactly what's going on and your answer to why the polls are closed today.

Looking for a little distraction while we're all chilling at home? Support a local writer by checking out The Last Place You Look, a mystery thriller from Kristen Lepionka. We may not be able to go out and about in Columbus, but that doesn't mean we can immerse ourselves in it through the magic of reading. That's right, I said magic.

Talking Points ❤️

A National Model 🇺🇸

Mike DeWine and Dr. Amy Acton are deservedly receiving national praise for their handling of the coronavirus. Many days it has seemed as if the rest of the country's governors are waiting for the pair's daily press conference to happen before making decisions on what to do that day. These articles give us an interesting view of how Ohio's response has been viewed outside of Ohio.

Soothing ❤️

I've lost count of how many people have told me that they have found Dr. Amy Acton to be a calm and steadying presence that is helping them get through all of this. Her personal history is fascinating - from briefly homeless as a child to the leader of the Ohio Health Department.

It's important to remember to find the good - and it does exist:

Just FYI, now would be a great time to work on that photography hobby - just remember to use #columbusnavigator on Instagram. Loving this shot of the Dublin bunny statues from earlier this week. 🐇
