Amazon bringing their storefront concept to Columbus
Hello Tuesday. James here.
Amazon is continuing its central Ohio takeover (following the launch of Amazon Prime Now, including Amazon food delivery and the opening of a distribution hub) with the opening of a storefront on campus.Shoppers will be able to pick up merchandise at lockers inside of the store. It will be very interesting to keep an eye on this and see how it affects existing campus bookstores like the giant Barnes & Noble located less than a mile away.Amazon aggressively targets students, offering them Prime memberships at 50% off the regular rate. Now they'll have a convenient location for picking up their orders.Navigator full story: Amazon Opening Store On High Street
