High Bank Distillery is open and totally awesome ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿน๐Ÿฅ…

Columbus Navigator Logo

Welcome to Tuesday. It's James.

Truly, we live in blessed times, with distilleries, beer gardens, gastropubs, and tap rooms popping up all over the Columbus area.

The latest is High Bank Distillery in Grandview, and it is pretty awesome. The patio is enormous and it's an awesome space overall. Check out our photo gallery and first visit at the link.

Well hit the link anyway, because I know you're into extremely fancy donuts. [Breakfast With Nick] โ˜•๏ธ๐ŸฉOhio lawmakers are discussing ending cash bail in the state, which from what I understand would be a major improvement in policy. Two GOP reps testified earlier this year about a case in Dayton where a man was charged with trespassing at a bus hub, and sat in jail for nine days while his mother scrambled to find a loan to pay $150 in bail. Taxpayers paid over $500 to jail the man, and studies show "even short stays in jail before trial lead to an increased likelihood of missing school, job loss, family issues, increased desperation, and thus, an increased likelihood to reoffend".
