When it comes to summer in Ohio, there's nowhere quite like a beautiful lake at sunset. The Buckeye state may not be teeming with lakes, but we've got some stunners. Most of these are within day-trip distance, which means you can load up the car, head out for a great day on the water, and be home to sleep in your own bed! There are a few that are more of a weekend trip but don't worry. There's plenty to keep you entertained while you're there! 💦⛵️☀️

I love learning new things about this city and I love sharing what I learn with you guys even more! I am typically pretty happy being a late-80s baby, but when I hear about things like this, it really makes me wish I had been around to see the QUBE network in its prime!

I just recently acquired an old Schwinn cruiser from the late 1960s and I have to be honest: It was the best $20 I've ever spent. It even has a handy basket perfect for the iced coffee and pastry that I probably shouldn't have bought as I was cruising by Fox in the Snow on my way to work! If you're thinking about getting a bike or fixing up an old one you've got, this is the list for you.

The Columbus Way
The Columbus Affordable Housing Trust will be receiving $100 million from private investors like Huntington National Bank, Nationwide Insurance, L Brands, and more to fund new projects. (
) The investors are not making a gift; they will receive a return on their investment. The money will largely go towards multi-family housing and will have to be affordable for households who make under 120% of area median income, which in Columbus is $78,000.

This ODOT pollinator habitat program is very cool, and
is right by MAPFRE Stadium. The program beautifies the state and helps bees and butterflies, but it also saves money. $2.2 million(!) was saved last year by cutting down on grass that needed mowing.
