An Ohio State Fair guide, Dan Rather, and an epic Metro Parks Lip Sync Challenge... aka, Tuesday. π‘ππΆ

Hello Tuesday. It's Chelsea.
The end of July each year brings about one of my favorite events: The Ohio State Fair. It goes without saying that the rides at the fair have (rightfully) earned a notorious reputation. But for me, the rides aren't why I go to the fair. The food, the festivities, and the entertainment are why you'll see me at the fairgrounds this summer. With entertainers ranging from The Beach Boys to Trevor Noah, wild creations like a 300-lbs chocolate Buckeye, and the infamous butter carvings, there's a little something for everyone at this iconic two-week celebration. π‘π

Navigator Originals βοΈMetro Park Rangers Slay Their Official Lip Sync ChallengeI'm not usually a fan of internet video challenges, but I have to say, Metro Parks crushed this one. The Park Rangers got together to "Shake it Off" and I'm pretty sure they just won the internet. πβHereβs Your Chance To Spend An Evening With Dan RatherIconic journalist and best selling author Dan Rather will be in town tomorrow night promoting his new book, What Unites Us: Reflections on Patriotism. The event will include a Q&A session, as well as book signings. π°βSpend A Night Under The Stars At Scioto Groveβs Full Moon Canoe FloatScioto Grove Metro Park is hosting a Full Moon Canoe Float this weekend. The event is free but it does require registration, which is pretty full. But don't give up hope! There's a waitlist available for this awesome evening event. πΆ
Around Town πSomeone is trying to build a 21,276 square foot home in Worthington - it would be the third largest home in Franklin County - but they are stuck in a legal fight with their builder over whether or not the agreement to build the home was written down or oral. The builders claim they have a $4 million contract while the buyers claim they have an oral contract at $750,000 (would you trust a 21k sq ft home built for $750k?) Meanwhile neighbors are mad the lot was clear cut, causing the neighborhood to lose many mature shade trees. [Dispatch/Weiker] π‘πΈA local Columbus food blog recently posted their absolute best things to eat in Columbus, broken down by meal. My main takeaway here is that I should be visiting Fox in the Snow more often. [Kasual Life] π½Ohio is 7th hardest hit by recent tariffs, in large part because we export more to Canada than any other state. [Dispatch/Malone-Williams] πΈ
