Sponsored by Decorative Arts Center of Ohio: The 2020 season kicks off January 25th with the exhibition Tell Me a Story Where the Bad Girl Wins: The Life & Art of Barbara Shermund, and you can hear from the curator of the exhibit on Sunday, January 26th. More info here, and you can get tickets right here! 🎨🖌
Happy Tuesday! Chelsea here.
If you were lucky enough to have a long weekend, I hope you enjoyed it! I'm kicking off this week with a few of my favorite things: long walks, delicious chocolate, and adorable houses. One thing I've come to realize as an adult is that Ohio is actually a really beautiful state, even in the winter. There's something about snow-capped hills and frozen waterfalls that is truly magical, albeit a little chilly. If you'd like to see that side of Ohio, you're not alone. Get out there and enjoy our state, fam.

If you already know how delicious Winans is, then you can just use this article as inspiration to stop by and grab some treats. If you've never visited a Winans, then you've come to the right place. The chocolates are amazing, the coffee is fantastic, and the cozy winter vibes can't be beat.

Looking to escape the post-holiday mayhem that is your home? Or maybe you've got some friends coming into town. Either way, Columbus has some fantastic Airbnb rentals just waiting for you to fall in love with them.
🏒
It may be a shorter week, but that doesn't mean that you can't find something awesome to do.
Talking Points ❤️
Lucky Kids 🏰
This backyard playhouse, rumored to have been built for PGA golfer Jason Day in Westerville, is probably going to blow your mind.

Panzera's 🍕
The story of Panzera's Pizza, open since 1964, is a good read, and the pizza looks great.

Buses Could Work 🚌
More data points for the idea that if Columbus is going to skip most conventional mass transit, they should go all-in on buses, instead of the halfhearted always-second-to-cars effort currently on display. Dedicated lanes have made certain bus lines twice as fast in NYC, and a dedicated bus lane in LA moves over 70 buses per hour.

As much as I look at winter with side eyes, I have to admit that Hocking Hills + snow might be Ohio at its best. ❄️❄️
