Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce Is Officially Open... And It's Awesome π

Sponsored by Art Makes Columbus and Columbus Makes Art. Visit ColumbusMakesArt.com to learn more about Columbus artists, performances, exhibitions, concerts, public art and more. A project of the Greater Columbus Arts Council. ππ¨
Happy Tuesday! Chelsea here.
The list of new restaurants to try in Columbus is never-ending. Which is not a bad thing, well maybe for my wallet. I especially love it when restauranteurs are drawn to Columbus. That was the case with actor-turned-restaurant-owner Ivan Kane. He opened Forty Deuce at Easton earlier this year. Forty Deuce is part diner, part speakeasy, but wholly fun. Malini Swank is serving up all the details about burgers, shakes, and some seriously wonderful looking mac and cheese.

No one needs an excuse for brunch. But if you do, say that you're trying to hit up all of the places on this list, sort of like an enchanting brunch quest. You won't be disappointed.

Sometimes, you just want to start your morning off with some heartwarming goodness. Your daily dose of "Human beings can be amazing" is available courtesy of Kelly Clarkson, who hosted a huge moment in the life of one Columbus teacher. I'm not crying, you're crying!

Another new library π
Construction on the new Karl Road library is set to begin in March. It looks like it'll be another gorgeous building for the system - check out the rendering in the link below.

Primary Registration πΊπΈ
Today is the last day to register to vote so that you can vote in the upcoming primaries. This will include the presidential Democratic primary, if you're so inclined, as well as the race between incumbent Joyce Beatty and Morgan Harper. It only takes a minute, you can do it online, and then you'll be good to go for this fall as well.

Solar Ohio βοΈ
This is one of the nerdier things we'll probably ever link, but it's very cool - Ohio State researchers have developed a molecule that absorbs solar energy 50% more efficiently than existing solutions and also acts as a catalyst for making solar energy into hydrogen. It does this by using the entire visible spectrum of sunlight. Much more at the link.
