Happy Tuesday! Chelsea here.

This winter weather truly has a mind of its own. We may not have gotten the anticipated snowfall, but that doesn't mean it's not a hot mess out there folks. Before we get into all that, let's take a few minutes to enjoy our morning coffee with a little Columbus history. Did you know that we used to have some pretty fantastic amusement parks here in the city? The largest and most popular was Olentangy Park. This amazing park in Clintonville was torn down so that apartments could be built in the late 1930s, but I can't help but wonder how amazing it would have been to have this around town while I was a kid. Also, I'm not an expert, but that Looping-the-loop ride seems terrifying in 2021, much less 1921.

We talked about Budd Dairy Food Hall's final vendor last week, but now they've got an official opening date! This place looks like it's going to be really amazing.

 ❄️

This feels like a "the more you know" kind of moment, folks. Columbus has a whole website where you can find out which roads have already been plowed and when you can expect snow crews to reach your street. We may not have gotten 12 inches of snow, but we did get a decent amount plus way more ice than was initially expected. If you have to go out this morning, please be careful and maybe plan your route using this tool before venturing into the wintery mess.
