When it's dark at 5 p.m. and there's a pandemic raging, it would be really easy to just shut ourselves in our houses for the next month. But if like myself, you're itching to get out and explore, it's important to do it safely. Thankfully, Ohio already has a variety of outdoor holiday activities where we can adhere to physical distancing and still have a good time. If you're up for a little road trip to see something super incredible for free, this may be just the ticket.

The 2021 Metro Parks budget

has been approved. A three-story nature center with observation deck will be built at Blacklick Woods Metro Park along with a canopy walk (10-15 feet off the ground) and a new playground. More money will also be spent to further develop Quarry Trails Metro Park which is scheduled to open next fall.

How is everyone handling the holidays this year? I seem to know people on both ends of the spectrum - too exhausted by 2020 to deal or going way over the top because it's been such a gloomy year. I can see both points of view. I do appreciate seeing all the decorations a little more this year though. 🎄❄️
