Take A Peek At WeWork's Massive New Short North Co-Working Space π₯π’

Welcome to Giving Tuesday! Non-profits and charities all over Columbus will be soliciting donations today, and if you want to really stretch your money, we suggest considering Matter News, a local news non-profit start-up doing great work in central Ohio. Any amount given to Matter today will be matched by NewsMatch, a program that exists to invest in quality local journalism. Double your dollars (and impact) right here - even small amounts go a long way!

Happy Tuesday! Chelsea here.
Finding the perfect place to work can sometimes be a drag. I speak from experience when I say that coming across the perfect, open, beautifully lit office space is sort of like finding a unicorn. Luckily, Columbus has been experiencing quite the co-working boom lately. The benefits of sharing a workspace mean that you can get into high-demand areas with modern amenities for a lot less, and what small business doesn't love the sound of that? The newest on the scene is WeWork, which just opened its first office here in Columbus. The space is massive, beautiful, and located right in the heart of the Short North.

Talking Points β€οΈ
The Hyperloop Thing Is Still A Thing π
Chicago in 30 minutes still seems a little far fetched, but work is still being done towards the goal. Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission is finalizing a hyperloop proposal for Virgin One that we should see in early 2020.

Small Town Ohio And The Opiate Crisis π
The New York Times does a deep dive on the Minford, Ohio class of 2000 and the opiate crisis. Minford is located about 90 miles south of Columbus, and the story is a good illustration of just what kind of hell rural Ohio has gone through in the last 20 years.

Obetz & Columbus Crew β½οΈ
I'm not entirely sure what this means long term for the planned Crew sports mega-complex at the Fairgrounds, but it looks like the Crew and the city of Obetz might not be breaking up after all.

Don't sleep on Hocking Hills as we head into winter. It's just as beautiful for the next few months as it is in summer and fall. π³βοΈ
