It's time for The Best of Columbus: 2018 Edition 🎉🎉

Happy Tuesday! It's Chelsea.

Life is about change, right? Well, that's a pretty good place to start when talking about our main story today. This piece ended up evolving out of a concept where we wanted to name the best things of 2018, but because we think year-end city rankings are usually super lame, we wanted to do something a little different.

If readers vote you end up seeing Chipotle named the Mexican restaurant of the year, and it’s all subjective anyway, right? SO. We asked some of our favorite people about their favorite Columbus things, and the result is a mix of 2018 picks ( best new restaurants) and all-time picks (best place to take a date). Enjoy.

I can honestly say, I was super excited to get to ride in this self-driving shuttle. And the experience did not disappoint. Pro tip: This would be an amazing way to see the lights on the Scioto Mile from the warmth of a vehicle.

Tess is home from college and she's found her new obsession. Alpine Restaurant and Bar has been open since October. But if you haven't made it in, I highly suggest you make the time. Totally worth it.

Everyone's favorite Mediterranean restaurant is officially headed to Upper Arlington. Brassica announced that their newest location will open on January 18. That's just one more month, UA. You can make it!
