I couldn't love the

any more, but I still admit I'm a little green with envy when it comes to CoverMyMeds employees and the stunningly gorgeous Franklinton campus they'll soon be enjoying.

I dislike using comparisons to other cities as shorthand for describing something new in Columbus, but it really does look like they're copy/pasting a Silicon Valley-style campus. Scroll until you get to the shot of the building with the boat launch in the foreground. Breathtaking, right?

Given the traffic to our

, where you can adopt a dog temporarily over the holidays, I'm not at all surprised that national media (in the form of Good Morning America) came calling. People have been rabid when it comes to this story, and the marketing genius over at the Shelter who came up with the idea deserves a raise.

Columbus recently won

from "Smart Cities Dive", a website covering the "smart cities industry", which I just learned is a thing. 🚗🚙

Columbus police have done 10 SWAT stings this year where an undercover officer poses as a buyer for an online item, meeting the seller (alleged armed robbers scamming people online) with SWAT backup nearby. They've now shot two of the ten sting targets, with one, a 16-year-old, dying. Police say the stings will continue.

City council news...

Last night, Columbus City Council

Council passes ordinances 3378 and 3379-2018 creating the #ColumbusArtAlliance. It supports Columbus’ cultural and performing arts community. The funds will be invested in two areas and managed by the @GCAC_Cbus. The fee goes into effect July 1, 2019.
