Happy Tuesday! Chelsea here.
I don't think I can possibly contain my excitement about today's feature, so I'll just jump right into it. Overall, I can't describe winter as my favorite season. But if there's one thing I do love, it's snow. Not like, interrupt my life with closures snow, but like, it's pretty on a Saturday morning with a cup of coffee snow. You know, when it's fresh and powdery and it sparkles and brightens up the dreary winter days? It's just so good. How can it be even better, you ask? If you're enjoying it from the comfort of a beautiful horse-drawn sleigh, that's how.

Winter can be a very romantic time of year, especially right now with all of the holiday lights up everywhere. If you're looking to do something special all while avoiding being cold, I've got a few suggestions for you.

One of my favorite holiday shows will be coming back to the Palace Theatre. Hip Hop Nutcracker is a re-imagining of the classic tale sets the story in modern-day New York City instead of 19th century Germany. It's such an incredible show and if you've never had the chance to see it, this year should be the year.

Remembering Josie Rubio
Columbus Monthly lost a former staffer this week. Josie Rubio had gone on to the New York Times, recently going viral with a piece on
. Rubio wrote many very funny personal essays while with Columbus Monthly, and on Monday, to remember her, they republished the one below from 2006. It's well worth reading.

Donut Life ๐ฉ
Breakfast With Nick visits a coffee and donut spot that opened earlier this year. It's not quite as heavy on the Instagram stunt donuts we see more and more of lately, but it looks like a great place for consistent classics. Check it out.

Fried Chicken Pilgrimage ๐ฝ
You probably already know about Holmes County Amish country, particularly some of the good food happening in that area, but just in case Food & Wine is here to highlight some of the local food, particularly the pressure-fried chicken and homemade pies. It's definitely worth the trip, at least once.
