There are a lot of reasons that I'm happy to be married. In 2020, one of those reasons is that I can't imagine trying to plan a wedding in a year like this. If you've been putting off planning your big day, you aren't alone, but I do have a suggestion that may be helpful. One of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding was to get married at a Metro Park here in Columbus. The process was easy and affordable and the park was the perfect setting for our celebration. If you've ever wondered what it's like to have a wedding at a metro park, I'm here to fill you in. Shocking (or maybe not?) numbers from this Columbus Dispatch report - "

Not only did the price vary widely from hospital to hospital, but also, for each procedure, the average cost in Ohio was much higher than the national average. ... For example, the average price for an appendectomy in Ohio is $31,669, ranging from $12,704 to $47,884 depending on the hospital, and two times the national average. An angioplasty costs anywhere from $9,687 to $117,760 with an average price of $71,828 and also more than two times the national average.
