Quick, without thinking too much: What is the happiest flower? Did you think sunflower? Because I definitely did. I don't know if it's because my grandma always had them in her garden, or just because they are so bright and impressive. But they really are just the most upbeat little blooms. If you enjoy them even half as much as I do, you've got to check out this incredible, two-weekend sunflower festival being thrown by Lynd Fruit Farm. There are photo-ops, food, music, and fun for all ages, all set against a background of a beautiful, 10-acre sunflower field.

The place within Ohio where I felt least like I was in Ohio was absolutely Lakeside, an old fashioned resort town on Lake Erie that absolutely everyone describes by referencing the resort town in Dirty Dancing. It's a huge week for Columbus as we host the American Society of Association Executives (
). These are the people responsible for booking conventions, and if all goes well Columbus should see a boost in convention business in the next several years.
