Hello, Tuesday! Chelsea here.

How is everyone doing today? Everyone holding up alright? Whether your answer is yes or no, I want to send some praise your way. The past few weeks have been quite the ride, and I'm so grateful for this community. It's been such a pleasure having you all along with us here at Columbus Navigator. We've appreciated your emails, your suggestions, and your general ability to make our days much brighter. I have to stop there or else I'll get really emotional, but just know that I feel so fortunate to start every morning with you guys. Whew. Okay. I've got myself together now and I can't wait to share this dream home with you. It's got a sauna, a swimming pool, a private hair salon, and even a basketball court. It's wild, y'all.

The new Stay-At-Home order went into effect at 11:59 last night, we're inching towards the peak here in Ohio, and all of the other COVID-19 news you need to catch up on.

Like many other creative industries, Columbus film industry employees are struggling right now. Several projects have been postponed, leaving workers without income. The Greater Columbus Film Commission has launched a new film contest with cash prizes in an effort to ease the burden. I personally can't wait to check these out.

If there's one thing I've learned about myself during this pandemic, it's that without the arts, my life would be extremely dull. Performers of all kinds are being forced to create new ways for audiences to connect, and some of our city's drag queens are putting on one heck of a show.

Talking Points โค๏ธ

We're in the same storm, but different boats

We all may be going through this pandemic at the same time, but that doesn't mean that our experiences are the same. Columbus native Aaron Thomas shares his perspective on the dangers for people of color using makeshift masks like bandanas or t-shirts.

Look for the helpers

As cases of COVID-19 rise, Ohioans are looking for all sorts of ways to help. Columbus furniture maker Tarik Yousef is no exception. He's hard at work building a ventilator that he hopes will help meet the sudden demand caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Battelle is changing the game

By now you've probably heard about the fantastic work that Battelle is doing to help sterilize used PPE for hospitals around the country. But what exactly does that process look like?

Due to their roll out to cities around the country, including New York and Seattle,

to operate the machines.

Weather:

74 with showers and thunderstorms throughout the day.

Columbus is in bloom and it's absolutely glorious. If you see some natural beauty while you're out on a walk, don't hesitate to snap a pic. It's always a treat to scroll by something beautiful. ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒธ
