Ohio State has put its neck out with a real game changer for lower income students. The university has become the first public school in America to cover all tuition for Pell Grant eligible students. This is heartening news that hopefully other Ohio colleges will feel able to follow. Around Town πA woman named Amanda Warner recently co-founded a non profit organization called Better Plate. It provides cooking classes from another country for $30, but the twist is the classes aren't taught by chefs. Instead they are taught by recently settled refugees who are adjusting to life in central Ohio WOSU calls it "dumpling diplomacy". [WOSU/Honig]Columbus Underground has a look at all the rooftop patios that have recently opened as well as rooftop patios that will be opening soon. So glad this is becoming a thing in Columbus. [CU/Evans]An ancient earthwork, probably 2000 years old, was recently discovered in Blacklick Woods Metro Park. The small mound was discovered by David Lamp, a retired archaeologist from Lancaster who spotted the mound from an aerial photo taken in 1954. He thinks he has spotted "a couple dozen" more using the same method. [Dispatch/Ferenchik]
