I hope you've all had a fantastic week so far. Sometimes all the news in Columbus hits at once, which has been the case lately. One bit I'm looking forward to is the new North Market Tower. It's undergone quite a few changes from its initial proposition, including the addition of a rooftop pool and a variety of gathering spaces. More updates were discussed at this week's Downtown Commission meeting, but it seems like the project is moving right along. Check out the newest renderings and news at the link below.

The American Planning Association released its list of "2019 Great Places" yesterday. Central Ohio managed to land two spots on the very short list with

downtown Delaware

and the

Short North

. There's history here as well - German Village

was previously named a "Great Neighborhood"

in 2011. All three of those links take you to short writeups on why the areas were selected, and they're interesting reads.

More Awards 🍸

Congrats to Watershed Distillery who recently won a "double gold medal from the New York World Wine and Spirits Competition". Their Bourbon Barrel Gin won "Best In Class" in the flavored gin category which I think means I really need to try it.
