No Tricks, Just Treats: The Down Low On All Hallow's Eve In The 'Bus ππ»π¬

Happy Thursday y'all, it's Tracie.
As a child, I loved Halloween & Trick or Treat with a fiery passion. My love for the holiday was fueled by my mom's craftiness. There was nothing like the feeling of heading to JoAnn fabric (near Westland Mall, RIP) in August or September, looking for just the right Halloween costume...in pattern form, obvi. Do people still do that? We'd pick a pattern, maybe a swatch or two of fabric, and magically, by mid-October, a costume would appear. Thanks, mom.
As a parent, my love for Halloween has changed dramatically. While I try to make it special for my children, I also don't hold back at all on the "candy tax." Gimme all your Reese Cups, kids, I've earned 'em. This comprehensive list of spooky (or not so spooky) activities around town will help you get the costume nostalgia of yore, as well as the candy fixes of today. Caramel apples and all.

While I don't think that Harry Potter ever went out of style, I certainly think there's been a resurgence in popularity these last few years, despite the series having ended. Maybe it's related to the "Fantastic Beasts" series...but really, I think it's just because Harry Potter, Magic, & Hogwarts are badass and timeless. Either way, this event sounds truly magical.
Last year, the most popular Halloween candy in Ohio was the Blow Pop. But this year, a new winner has emerged. If you're assuming that it has something to do with peanut butter and chocolate (this is the Buckeye state after all) you would be incorrect.
