Jeni's and Land-Grant are teaming up again this year for

Jeni's Strawberry Jam on May 26th

. The event celebrates the annual release of Jeni’s Strawberry Buttermilk ice cream as well as Ohio's strawberry season. It would be great if the Ohio GOP would take a breather, but that's looking unlikely. The latest is a bill that

that would force women with ectopic pregnancies to remove the embryo from the fallopian tube and implant it into the uterus

, a medical procedure that

does not exist

. The state of Ohio is currently experiencing a maternal mortality crisis. Putting obstacles in place for effective ectopic pregnancy treatment would obviously lead to more deaths.

The bill would also ban private insurance coverage for effective methods of birth control. I'd like to mention here that birth control is used for many health reasons having nothing to do with contraception, but go back and read the thing about ectopic pregnancies - it's not really about facts, yeah?
