Short North restaurant Brassica is opening a second location in Bexley! *happy dance*
TGTF, Columbus! It's Madeline.
After Cosi closed its doors in September 2016, the space at 2212 E Main St. in Bexley sat empty. The community longed for a new restaurant or cafe to take over the unoccupied spot.Thanks to Brassica, owned by the same folks that gave us Northstar Cafe, Bexley is going to get what it wished for. Chelsea Wiley has the scoop on just how long we'll have to wait for Brassica Bexley to open its doors.

Singularity University announced that their Smart City Accelerator program will come to Downtown Columbus this fall. The program will choose ten businesses to participate which will have the chance to get $100,000 in funding. [CU/Warren]Gahanna teens Julia Bray and Ashton Cofer were recognized by the U.S. Navy for their smarts. The high school freshmen devised a way to convert Styrofoam into activated carbon, which can purify water. The invention won the Navy’s Conrad Spirit of Innovation Award. [Dispatch/Gilchirst]
