Happy Thursday! Chelsea here.

Let's kick this morning off the way all mornings deserve to be kicked off: with French toast! It's one of my favorite breakfast items/any time of the day items and it's something I request a little too frequently from my husband. What can I say? I'm a sucker for egg coated bread slices. If you too find yourself craving a little burst of sugary sweetness, consider stopping by one of these Columbus restaurants that are doing French toast serious justice.

I'm sorry to hit you with this after I just got you hyped about French toast, but this video is worth checking out. A lot of Ohioans have fond memories of visiting Geauga Lake and it's heartbreaking for the community to see this park in such a state.

Talking Points ❀️

The Mafia & Columbus πŸ‡

"How a street got its name" is usually an incredibly boring topic (in Ohio the answer usually seems to lead to "a rich guy bought property"), but I found the story behind Riva Ridge Blvd. in Gahanna to be an exception.

Coronavirus And Events πŸ’Š

With all of the back and forth with the Arnold Classic this weekend (the organization is evidently still pushing to have spectators) it's natural to wonder what this outbreak could mean for events going forward in Columbus in the near future. It's being considered, but the answer seems to be that nobody really knows.

The Largest πŸ›

Did you know the largest mall in the world was once located in Ohio? Randall Park Mall was built in 1977 in Cleveland, and was briefly the biggest of them all. It was never a huge success, however, and closed in 2009 during the financial crisis.  For six years it sat empty and abandoned, and photographer Michael Christopher captured the decay for a book. The resulting photos are post-apocalyptic - like

- and you can see them at the link below.

Say hello to the Dublin Link, Dublin's new pedestrian bridge that spans the Scioto River, connecting Dublin and Bridge Park. The bridge has been under construction since February, 2017, cost $22.6 million, and will have a grand opening celebration with light shows on Friday, March 13th.
