Hello, Thursday! Chelsea here.

Good morning, friends. Can we just talk about the insanely beautiful sunshine we experienced yesterday? I don't think I've ever been so excited to walk my dogs in my entire life. Let's all collectively keep our fingers crossed for more sunny days ahead. It's Throwback Thursday, and today, we're throwing it

way

back. I stumbled across this footage of Columbus from the 1950s and it was insanely interesting. The gist of the video is that Reader's Digest was doing market research here, but the interviews, scenery, and glimpse at life from the middle of the 20th century is totally worth a watch.

The number of confirmed Coronavirus cases continues to rise in Ohio, with nearly two-thirds of all counties reporting cases. A large relief package was passed late last night by the Senate, which will offer temporary financial relief in the form of direct payments and bolstered unemployment wages.

Talking Points ❀️

Hero πŸ™Œ

Dr. Amy Acton has been a source of great comfort for so many people (peep this

), to the point I wish every state had a Dr. Acton. Columbus Alive says

"strong, smart, reassuring leader we need during the coronavirus crisis"

and this Belt profile says her response to the crisis has been a "gift in chaotic times". Both articles are well worth reading if you're looking for a light in the darkness.

Did you know Balto the sled dog's taxidermied body resides in Ohio? Well, now you do. We kind of need a Balto right now, right? Here's the story if you're not familiar, along with an explanation for how a heroic Alaskan sled dog ended up in Ohio on display at the Cleveland Zoo:

I really enjoyed this conversation with one of my favorite local Twitter follows (and local residents in general) Hanif Abdurraqib, on the occasion of the publication of
