Franklin County Will Have A New Metro Park By Year End ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿƒ

Columbus Navigator Logo

Happy Thursday, it's Tracie.

Of all the great things about Columbus, the Metro Park system has to be in the Top 5.  Nearly each part of town boasts their own park, and if you head to certain corners of the city, you're able to hit up more than one in just a few square miles.โ™ป

I tried to think of a downside to the Franklin County Metro Parks, and had a rough time. My family has been able to rent canoes ๐Ÿšฃ at Three Creeks, ridden the trolley ๐Ÿšž at Blacklick Woods, and had a great time getting dirty at the Sharon Woods Mud Run. But, then I remembered the turkeys. Oh god, the wild turkeys at Blendon Woods. There's your downside. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Meanwhile, definitely looking forward to exploring the new park, fingers crossed for no wild turkeys.

Longread ๐Ÿ™ŒIdle hands are the devil's tool, or at least that's what Devon Sawa told us. I prefer to think in a more positive vein (ha!) and go with the theory that "hands are the windows to the soul." ๐Ÿ’…  And also, while scrolling my feed for an interesting article today, I had a hard time finding something that wasn't depressing...or overtly political. ๐Ÿ˜•  While there's certainly a time โŒš and a place for that (and the place for it can frequently be here), it felt appropriate to go with something a little bit light-hearted today.  Don't get used to it. More the birth of a new obsession and a string of captivating photos than a "longread" per se, you definitely want to add this instagram to your feed. ๐Ÿ™Mashable: Hands Have Never Been So Interesting
