Happy Thursday! Chelsea here.

I have to be real with you this morning: it's looking like life may not feel very normal for a little while. Coronavirus is dominating the news to the point that very little else feels relevant, and so, for today at least, it feels like it would be a falsity to lead with anything else.

There are so many news stories about coronavirus that we wanted to have one spot focused entirely on local implications. We will update this around the clock as news breaks, and we will also be making an effort to keep our updates well-curated in an attempt to give you a place to follow the latest.

We will all get through this together, and hopefully, we will all come out the other side a closer, tighter-knit community in central Ohio.

Now seems like the perfect time to remind everyone about the many perks of having a Columbus Metropolitan Library card. Through the library, you can stream a selection of films from the Criterion Collection, as well as tons of other fun stuff. Bust out your favorite comfy pants, make some popcorn, and get your mind off of the world for a bit.

Every time I fly into Columbus at night I look down at the city from above and feel incredible frisson. I'll always associate this vantage point with coming home.
