Iconic Short North Gallery ROY G BIV Heads West ππ¨

Happy Thursday, it's Tracie.
There's a song by 'They Might Be Giants' called ROYGBIV. Every time I'd drive past the gallery in its original Short North location, I'd hear the song in my head. It's kind of a story that melds a leprechaun π into a sort of rainbow wizard? Catchy, though! After over 25 years on High St, ROY G BIV is making the move to the west-side hub of artistry and creativity, Franklinton. No word yet on what entity will take over the gallery's current space, but I for one am hoping for a place that also inspires song πΌ. Around Town πNo word yet one what this will do for wait times at the BMV, but beginning July 2, of this year, you'll no longer receive your license in person while renewing. I'd like to officially request that they use the extra time to edit our license photos. I'd like better lighting and definitely a better camera angle, please. π [Dispatch]In "products we wish weren't needed" news, an Akron company selling bullet-proof panels for backpacks has seen a 200% increase in sales since the Florida school shooting on Valentine's Day. It's yet to be seen whether preventative measures like this will become the norm, but it certainly begs the question. [WOSU] πͺ He'll be back...Arnold, that is. And with him, thousands of athletes and fitness competitors, all hungry. Hungry for protein. If there's a shortage of chicken or beef at downtown restaurants next week, you'll know why. Longread π Jameela Jamil is an actress, currently staring on "The Good Place," which is π΄-ing wonderful if you aren't already watching it. (That's FORK-ing wonderful for those of you not tuning in.) She also blogs, and this week, posted her response to a photo of the Kardashians which included each of the women's actual weight. π²With the "me too" movement, and a rise of understanding for the way women have experienced inequality in employment, media perception, sexuality, etc; there is still quite a long way to go, especially when it comes to objectification. Jamil takes a stand by illustrating that a woman should be measured not by her weight, but by the weight on which she places her accomplishments and priorities. βA group shot of grown women with their respective weights posted across each of their bodies, and the post asking what we think of their weights and then asking its followers, βWhat do you weigh?βDiary of a Goon: I Weigh
